Friends of St Joseph’s are a group of parents and teachers who join together to form a friendly committee to raise money for St Joseph’s School. As you are probably aware we are a voluntary aided school which means we have to raise 10% of the value of any work that is carried out in the school. Amongst some of the events we offer there is a weekly bonus ball scheme at £1 per week and a monthly tote at 50p per ticket. The bonus ball alone raises over £1000 per year. We do organise other events throughout the year, including talent shows, bingo evenings etc.
We understand how busy people are with different commitments but if you could spare any time either to attend the occasional meeting, help out at one of the events or provide a donation it would be greatly appreciated. The events are very enjoyable for both children and parents so please try and support them to raise money for our school.
The next Friend’s of St Joseph’s meeting is held in school on Friday 2nd March at 08.45am. You are all welcome to attend.
Over the next few months we are hoping to raise enough money to purchase some playground equipment for KS2. Our previous fund raising events helped to raise money for the Stage that we now have in the school hall.
Over the next few months we will be arranging the following events:
- Coffee / Bingo Afternoon – 23rd February
- School Disco – 9th March
- Coffee Afternoon – 23rd March
- Smartie Tube Challenge
- Race Night – 4th May
